Looking for thoughts on FTM-10R
Looks like Yaesu has released something quite cool... the FTM-10R...
for me it's important because it's RUGGED, and waterproof (the head) and for me doing off road and Jeep, I need something that can take the elements a bit...
Any thoughts?

I've had this argument more times than I can count here in Toronto. I just tell them to go away and stop interfearing with my conversation -- which is infact illegal. They have made their point, now move on, if it bothers you -- file a complaint with Industry Canada. When the 1 inspector for all of ...

I had a bird meter connected to both radios (I think it was a 5W slug) once to prove neither were transmitting. Full re...

RoF know's his stuff from what i've seen. All technical stuff aside, and because i'm not reading ALL of that. Astro Radio's sound a 1000 times better on ANALOG than regular analog radios do. Oh and that's a MEAN OPINION -- which at the end of the day is all that really matters. In the Radio world we...

you just happen to have posted this here, I'm a CCVP / IPTT / CVOICE certified. Drop me a PM and we can chat. The E/M VIC won't do Caller ID... You need a T1 integration between the Definity and the router. So from a hardware perspective you will need an NM-HDV and a WIC-1MFT-T1 or similar, and at l...

Ok... Hooked.
Well, had my first major QSO on P25 Thursday... While driving through Barrie, ON, used the VE3XF repeater to have a 20 minute chat with VE3XF himself and a fellow amateur (sorry forget your call dude) but it was great.
Loved every second, audio quality was superb.

Power up a Astro Spectra 110W without the Head.
I've got my Astro Spectra installed, i'd like to be able to bring hte drawer inside to program -- sans the head...
I hear it's possible but need a sure answer on how to trick it to power up (instead of bricking)
Thoughts?
