The first Yaerola?
There's been a couple of Yaesu/Vertex threads as of late, and I took a look at the Vertex site and found something that looked a little familiar. The VXD-720 looks an AWFUL lot like an XPR-6550. You be the judge... http://www.vertexstandard.com/lmr/images/products/VXD-720.png http://www.actioncommun...

Re: Low latency IP Audio streaming for remote base?
I found a schematic for an IRLP interface board that I could easily fab up on a breadboard and transfer it to one of those breadboard PCBs. I just need to order the ICs from one of the usual sources, and whip it up for testing in an evening.

I was not going to post here because the IQ level here seems lower than the QRZ and AM forums. Obviously you haven't learned that this isn't a serious place. We have our serious moments, but overall, we're here because most of the things that we talk about are verboten on either QueeRZ, RR or BatBo...

Re: P25 repeaters
Don't bother with the Daniels gear unless you have some serious coin. ISTR that a Daniels repeater runs about the same as a full Quantar setup, and you still need to buy all of the outboard RF parts and a 12V PSU/batteries. Yeah, I kinda figured that would be the case. Fuckin' shit gets priced righ...

Re: P25 repeaters
I've been looking at the Daniels RX/TX modules, but not seriously enough to warrant making a few phone calls to determine pricing. Ditto on the new Raytheon P25 repeater controller, which from what I understand does basically what Wowbagger just described but with some extra bells-and-whistles (pro...

You use ISPERN (155.475 - whatever you guys call it in your own states/jurisdictions). At least that's what happens over here. I think almost every PD in the county has 155.475 in at LEAST 1 of their radios. We have CLEMARS and CALCORD, but you actually have to change channels on the radio to acces...
