You really don't need a conference. If you enable conferencing under settings on your node, you can hold 99 connections if your bandwith permits. (answers both questions)

Yes you have it straight. I was getting tired of people from Echolink asking me when the "Echolink crosslink" into the Hamsexy net is going to be up and running. People badmouthing IRLP becuase they couldnt check into the net.... So I did something about it. How many weeks in a row have w...

Re: Sorry to rain on your parade....

It is offical! The Hamsexy/IRLP conference bridge is up and running, thanks to the tireless work of the IRLP System Designer VE7LTD, and IRLP/EchoLink conference genius Tony Langdon VK3JED. They would also like to put out a huge thank you to Jeff Dale, VA3ISP, for generously donating the bandwidth ...

I am just suprised I had never heard of it. You will require a PGP key for your reflector/conference to be accessible from an IRLP node. I didnt snap at you. You just never mentioned that you were using Tony's scripts and such, so I assumed you had no knowledge of the work that had already been don...

Dont bother recreating the wheel. It has already been done such that TBD and the IRLP refelctor all run off the same system. Tony VK3JED has done it for the NV-GATE and ref9258 and between WX-TALK and ref9219. Of course your admin will have to pay a lot of attention, as there is a huge problem with...

Any Volunteers?

I have started a project, which will probably take a month or more to complete, to merge IRLP and Echolink using an IRLP Reflector and an Echolink Conference on the same computer system. This, with quite a bit of work on scripting, will make IRLP users appear in the echolink user panel as "stnX...

Possibly Is this like instead of patching repeaters/simplex links together your interfacing a packet node into it? Negative. On Echolink, there is a "text box", more of a little chat in the bottom right corner on windows versions. It's allowing mobile stations with a TNC, to participate i...

Would use the textbox on echolink over RF if it was available?

It's already being developed :baby: , just curious as to who would use it.

Re: Wed. Night Net

I would love to attend the Wed net, but as far as i know, the only echolink Repeater in Aurora is exclusive access only. I might be wrong...its been known to happen. how hard is it to set up my own Echolink node? Just download echolink from http://www.echolink.org and use your computer speakers/mic...

VK3JED is running his IRLP node on the same Cable Internet as his VoIP phone. It isn't vonage, it's broadvoice I believe (i may be wrong), but everything is working just fine on his end. There would be no reason for it not work, except for latency, which ofcourse will happen when you max out your ba...

I'll set up a temp base in the room and see if I can make some Hotel Sierra contacts. I'll also be on 462.575 pl 69.3 if anyone cares to venture up there. I'll most likely bring a VHF/UHF station and set a magmount on a cookie sheet in the window sill of my hotel room, so i think it'll work fine. I...
