As soon as I get DMR-MARC to assign me an ID, I'll give it a whirl. Monitoring it from here, I know I'm within range, but so far haven't heard a thing, but I haven't been monitoring all that much.

What?

Mostar Interface Box doesn't work with astro radios. idk what a PPP is... you need to define your acronyms.

*sigh* reviewing a previous post by me... so therefore just reiterating here, the Astro Spectra Plus has 4mb of memory. The one I have here has host 9.00.00 and DSP9.00.00. It was done via legitimate iButton/Motorola firmware refreshing. Host 9 supports rebanding and analog-trunking ID. Like Host R7...

I was told that a SpectraPLUS is almost sorta like an XTL. But don't quote me on that information. I'm sure Josh knows. the astro spectra plus is an Astro Spectra with an upgraded vocon. Nothing else is really different. It has 4 megs of memory, and programs using Astro25 CPS (just like the XTL5000...

Yes, of course it matters. You'll find that range will suffer if you try wide-band receiving a P25 channel meant for 12.5Khz use. I had issues like that with the "local" P25 ham repeater 30 miles away, but mostly with the really local analog ham repeater located about 1/2 mile from here. d...

Re: ASTRO Spectra analog audio

Weren't we all bashing how bad analog sounded on a digital radio, processed via DSP? Anyhow, I love my astro spectra radios, I have one on every usable band and enjoy the clarity of the audio. The astro saber sounds equal to it (same vocon). Anyhow, the only thing I don't like about it in analog and...

I don't know, maybe it is only R11.70. I'm actually not near it right now, it's at home and won't be until the weekend. Maybe I'm just confusing for R7.71 which is in a portable.

And yes, I do have Astro Spectra plus radios w/ Host/DSP9.

I have an astro spectra Vocoder and Command Board from an Astro Spectra manufactured in 2005. It doesn't issue the same level of "popping" from the speaker as earlier astro spectra and astro spectra plus boards, including some made in 2003. For whatever reason, the filtering of the popping...

OMG it's a hacked up flash, get over it!

For the price it could at least be R7.70 for rebanding's sake! :crack:

Re: AS1 Codeplug Request

Howdy, folks. I just took the leap and got myself an Astro Saber :baby: . Unfortunately, it was last programmed with CPS, and the dude I get my radios programmed by only has RSS (9.03.00). H04KDC9PW5AN (147-178) Firm 07.00.02.00/DSP N07.03.06 Flash is 100001-000000-7. As long as the CP has IMBE and...
