Re: XPR7550

Connect Plus is out, it will require an option board if the unit is not shipping with it built in. License per subscriber.. Controller is 20K + Uses a fixed control channel like type 2 trunking. Can be configured multisite, voted (sort of) and it intelligent to the point that if no subscriber affili...

Re: Yeasu P25 Portable??

well the Vertex portables and mobiles look like MOTOTRBO as does the repeater (8400)

I am guessing that it's TRBO and not P-25
HOWEVER, I do know that an astro spectra will do C4FM per its programming parameters.
It's going to be interesting.

Re:

Interesting changes. I'd never heard of the restrictions on 33 cm in Wyoming and Colorado. Anyone know why? 900 Mhz is used for Missile Self distruct commands. I believe the concern was that due to the number of ICBM's in those areas, if one needed to be called off, the interference might keep them...

Re: Mansfield Hamfest Feb 14th

Saw some CB crap last year but no crafts. The crafts, in small moderation are a good thing. Bring home a small woven basket with some frilly stuff on it and she woln't be as mad about that

Re: amplification and p25

You will need to be aware of type acceptance though if you are using this outside ham bands. With ham of course there is no type acceptance but commercial is a different story. I only mention this because you were looking at something that Universal Radio sold. Nothing against Universal but they don...

Mansfield Hamfest Feb 14th

Yes, once again it's almost time for the Mid winter Mansfield Ohio hamfest. Date is Feb 14, or Valentines day. Pretty decent, prices were good last year in the flea market and there were a large number attending. Seens that they didn't have dates on Valentines Day, I wonder why? "oooh that smel...

Re: DSTAR true acromyn revealed

Ahhh, relax. Around here (Columbus Ohio) DStar is pretty much a private repeater deal. No one bothers with it. The only repeater in town isn't Internet linked. And those of us that run digital, run IMBE. Besides, it's better this than the admission about putting Icom pamphlets all over Ricks truck a...
