Re: KC8RYW simplex node 4018 is almost up...

The only problem with taking your COS line from the busy light is it won't follow PL. Unless you plan on running your node CSQ your going to need to find a point that only changes state with a valid signal. If not your going to get lots of falsing and possibly annoy a few reflector owners in the pro...

Why not put both IRLP and Echolink on the same node? It is called EchoIRLP and it can run and share resources with IRLP on the same computer. They both just chug away until one gets called it to service either locally or through an incoming call and the other gets disabled. IRLP node 2410 has been r...

Chances are your Alcatel modem is also a Router, you need to go into the configuration of the modem and either forward the ports or put it in Bridge modem. Did the modem give you a public IP address or an internal IP like 192.168.x.xxx ? Go into the command prompt and type "ipconfig" and i...

Have you tried reading the install doc Rusty, you need to reinstall your soundcard. http://www.irlp.net/new-install/IRLP_self_install.htm 2.3 Using the alsaconf program ? FEDORA ONLY Installing your soundcard drivers when using Fedora is performed by using the alsaconf program. To test your soundcar...

Are you sure everything is connected properly? Your audio connection must be messed up since your not getting radio in or out from the node. Are you using properly shielded audio cables and followed the install docs according to your IRLP board?

What if you just plug a pair of computer speakers in, do you get any decent sound then? We need to find out if it is the souncard or the radio or connection between.

Yes the sound card issues are mostly a thing of the past but a few have be known to cause minor issues, like anything else in amateur radio trial error will your best friend. If you plan on using any CW ID scripts then you will need to use an old ISA card like my Vibra 16 for the synth feature. I us...

That would be cool if you are able to cross-link the two systems, then I can pull the stream audio right from Echolink instead of via RF via the local repeater. I think if we ever get the two systems bridged together the net will run til 4:00am with all the keyboard check-ins. qrzmoderator
