GNU Software based P25 decode using RTL2832

This may have been posted elsewhere, but has anyone heard of the OP25 project and the use of
the RTL2832 for use as a software defined receiver for P25?

Neat stuff..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wShOLgW2 ... e=youtu.be

FYI, the 2832 dongles can be had on Ebay for around 20.00 (US)

Give him a call, he is actually a pretty nice guy.

Thats what I did when I got into a dispute over P25 (after I posted my first message about the legality)
Just curious, his response?? Did he provide a written follow up?

As far as I know , the answer would be no. I have had a strange thing happen with a AS3 I had once. It had a DES-XL module in it. I had infinite key retention enabled but never, ever loaded a key in the radio. One day after swapping batterys I somehow got the conentric switch flipped to secure and t...

I'm puzzled by the fact that an agency like the RCMP can't or won't update the firmware in their radios?? What exactly is the deal with them? Do they just occasionally buy radios, issue them and then forget about them until they die? I would think if there was any agency that would have the funds av...
