got it fixed..

now my node is back and running on CentOS...

Looks like we will be able to use 2mtr as a link freq for IRLP nodes and Echolink nodes.

I think i am the only person in my little town thats listening to the audio.

When i can, i plan on putting my antenna up a little higher so more people can access my little IRLP node.

and when i get the big bucks, i am just gonna put up a repeater that will have IRLP access....

Shuttle Audio

For those of you that don't know already, you can listen to shuttle audio on IRLP reflector #9356.

There is talk of adding another reflector to balance the load during peak times.

Its pretty interesting.

i use 2 fans. one on the power supply itself and one on the radio. seems that only one of them (radio) slows down though.. kinda odd. maybe i need to boost the wire size i am using to something a little bigger. Same here Rusty, one on the GE Pheonix and one on the Astron SL-11A and no fan noise eit...

Fan noise

I'm using a gm300 with a computer fan on the back of it. Everytime the radio keys up, the fan slows down due to the current draw and you can hear the fan noise over the radio. Is there a simple solution to filter this noise out? such as using some ferrite beads or something??

alsaconf would not see my card.

i ended up just rebuilding the box. and with the help of the install team, i am done and just waiting on my pgp keys to authenticate and register with the rest of the world.

IRLP needs a phpbb so information is easier to search and organize!!

okay, like an idiot i was playing around trying to get my sound card to say my call sign for IDing purposes so i downloaded OSS for my card. It made my audio sound like crap, so i uninstalled it. Are you sure everything is connected properly? Your audio connection must be messed up since your not getting radio in or out from the node. Are you using properly shielded audio cables and followed the install docs according to your IRLP board? http://www.irlp.net/new-install/ Its all working fine...
