CQPSK is for simulcast trunking systems and I forget what WIDE is for. Use C4FM. The only place I'm aware of where 20kHz spacing is used domestically is in the 800 band. Plus, the Big M seems pretty free and loose with firmware refreshes to Astro25 radios these days. If yours is unmolested and has a valid serial #, I'll bet one of us folks with MOL access could probably get a one-shot firmware update.

Only other way I'm aware of to get a key into a radio without a KVL is with OTAR, and even then you'd still need a KVL to load the shadow key.
