Okay, now for the real-world answer: I have personally seen an Astro Spectra attempt to decode two simultaneous P25 conventional transmissions with identical NACs. The end result was.. bizarre. You could tell two people were talking, and pick out parts of both transmissions, but the overall effect w...

This is just the run of the mill 3600 baud Smartnet system... Again, a 3600 baud CC and single-site operation does not necessarily equate to Smartnet. Find out what kind of controller setup they have.. if it's MTR2000s, MSF5000s, or Micors and a 6809 controller, it's probably Smartnet. If it's Quan...

There are numerous SmartNet systems up this way, most of which have odd numbered talkgroups. Smartnet or Smartzone? I asked the same question on Batlabs, and was told that odd-numbered talkgroups were introduced with Smartzone. Now, it's entirely possible that your "Smartnet" system is ac...

Neither of them state which firmware revision they're loaded with, and it doesn't look like either of them have display modules (and yes, I know the second one is a stock pic, but still.) Both of those can be remedied, but still, that explains the cheapness.

IMBE will work with a 512K board. As of host R04.xx.xx and DSP 06.xx.xx the firmware supports IMBE. the suck factor is a 512K board won't go above R05.60.04 / DSP 06.05.02 (or DSP 8 if you're a hax0r) because of size limitations. Not without hex editing, no. No shift-key in Astro RSS/CPS.

I have a S-split Astro Saber, and it kicks ass all the way down to 440. It's not IMBE-capable though, so I can't vouch for that.
