Why do hammies feel the need to label their repeaters? Putting the callsign, input/output freqencies, and the pl on the front of the repeater is just gay. It's going to be a three day hamfest (offically), but there are always lots of folks around for the week prior.

If there is anything I can do, I'm only 22 miles from the site.

Re: First Non-ICOM Experimental D-Stars transceiver

perhaps a P25 radio from a ham manufacturer? That won't happen. You know they already do, They just don't call them ham radios, but the big three (besides /\/\) want to make money. If they put them in the ham line they'd not be able to charge more than $200 :baby: Why??? ICOM is charging $500+ for ...

I remember reading that before, but was curious if that worked with the D-star stuff as well.

"Hybrid" repeater which features both FM and D-Sta

Sounds interesting.... I talked to one of the guys getting it on the air and he states it has good coverage in analog mode so far, I haven't asked how they got it to run analog and D-star at the same time. Just what I need, an excuse to buy another radio :baby: http://metro-uhf.org/repeaters/hoodroa...

Analog & D-star on the same input of 444.225

Analog & D-star voice is sent out on both outputs

D-star output of 439.225

Analog output of 449.225

You don't get all of the other stuff that D-star can do, and it's sure not a mixed mode repeater either, but it is interesting.
