I've been using with an XTS3000 and it's rock solid. It's kind of like the cable you get with a 396 or 996 scanner, construction wise.

For the price you can't really beat it.

Alot of people complain about failing finals with the 817 too but I haven't had any problems yet.

The rest seem sort of flimsy as far the amateur stuff goes.

The last I saw they were around $1500 retail but if you go to the BK site they have a trade it program. They will take one EPH in on a DPH for a $200 credit.
