Hell, I think it sounds kinda neat. I don't really see any difference between what he's doing and what we do with P25 - except him and his buddies on the West Coast have put together an IP-linked digital voice system, something I'm not aware of any of the P25 repeater operators doing yet. Playing with new technologies is a pillar of the hobby after all, and if these guys want to do it with TRBO then more power to 'em I say.

Now, someone should definitely school the guy on proper mobile repeater antennas. A glass-mount? That must have provided some awesome parking lot-wide coverage.
And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside.
