Possibly, but you can also pack a standard P25 channel into 6.25kHz using QPSK modulation - the only downside is you have to use linear amps, not class-C amps as you can for FM.

I've not seen these, so I am just speculating.

Best price I've seen on their P25 one is only a couple hundred bucks less than an XTS 2500, not including software, cables etc.

Given a choice, I'd spend that extra few hundred for the XTS.
