Fort Wayne Indiana Hamfest

November 15 - 16, 2008

Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Center, located at 4000 Parnell Avenue in Fort Wayne (at the corner of Parnell and Coliseum Blvd).

The 2008 Fort Wayne Hamfest & Computer Expo will be open to the public from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday November 15th, and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Sunday, November 16th. Admission is only $6.00 per person (good for both days), or $4.00 for just Sunday, and there is plenty of parking in a large, paved parking lot, but please note that the Coliseum charges a $4.00 parking fee. Children 11 and under are free with an adult.

I plan to be there. I went last year. It was the best hamfest I have been to.
MFJ and R&L electronics will be there. Hope I can scrape together enough
cash to pick up an amp.

I'm planning on being there too, it is just a little over an hour away from me. I'm not really planning on buying anything, but I have some friends that will be there and want to visit with them. I know Norm W8TTH had a booth there last year http://www.normsfab.com/

My friend Bob KD8IMF is planning on buying some gear there, I'll be riding with him. He wants to pick up a TS-2000 and either a tri-bander or HF Log Periodic.

Well Bob already bought his TS-2000, but we will still be going to the Ft Wayne hamfest on Saturday. I'll have my HT along, will be monitoring 147.555 simplex

I already got an amp, an AL80B, but there is always something I can use.
I have friends who will have booths. It's only a couple of hours for me.
