Radio Expo 2005 at the Lake County Fairgrounds on September 17 & 18th.
There's always plenty of interesting gear and people. Even the cheesheads from up north make this hamfest.

I'll be there sunday with as many handhelds strapped to me as I have, yo yo representin' hamsexiness in it lowest and nerdiest form yo. Where's my callsign hat damnit!?!
Anyone meeting on the HAMSEXY frequency, I think I recall it being 146.495 simplex that was agreed on in another thread sometime ago. I'll be there or on the mighty 145.290 repeater (107.2 PL). See you at the show, glaven... :halfnotworthy: :vestman:

I'll probably be in the swap selling some stuff too. For sure saturday, and maybe sunday. It'll be like the NE Illinois Hamsexy convention. :baby:

Well, I was only there sunday and it wasn't all that great. I know hamfests in general have been down in number over the last few years, but it was still disappointing as I remember when this particular fest used to be packed. But I did get my bright orange callsign hat, galven, picture to be posted as soon as I get the pictures developed. :vestman:

It's been getting more and more disappointing every year. I've been trying to be optimistic that it'll get better, but I'm probably just pulling sunshine from my ass.

Oh, and go .29 machine! :)

Have fun!

Thanks Chris, check in some time, I don't think I've heard your call before. I haven't been out there as much myself since I moved further north beyond the cheddar curtain.
