OK Southern crew..time to start planning for the Dayton of the Southeast!

I plan to have 2 flea market spaces, and since you can actually move in a week early I will go down the Sunday before and set up a tent to reserve them....anyone else gonna sell want me to grab the adjacent spaces?

Should we have a Hamsexy booth?[/b]

It's going to be a three day hamfest (offically), but there are always lots of folks around for the week prior.

If there is anything I can do, I'm only 22 miles from the site.

Hamsexy is like peeing your pants.
Everyone can see it but only you feel its true warmth.
But then you get old and pee in your pants while wizzing around in you hamabout.

Better be a mutual aid call, Cleveland County does not have any ARES group as of the last area 13 meeting :baby:

We've got to remember to hit the Icom and Yaesu booths early if you want the good freebies.
I'll be looking for books and maybe an antenna tuner. Some decent kits would be great too.
Who knows, something odd might just tickle my fancy!

Damn, too late to plan with my family. I go to Greensboro 2-3 times a month, only a few hours down the road. Maybe next year.

It was posted in May, and it's been the same weekend for over 50 years.

Well I officially declare my WV trip rained out. Probably for the better since I would just end up at the Hooters in Charleston with the sub-par women.

So I will be attending Shelby. I guess all the cheap hotel rooms will have been filled up by this point eh? :cheeseandwhine:

Well what pricepoint are you looking for? Lincolnton is only 20 miles away, but it's an easy drive. The comfort inn is 68.39
for most rooms, and it's nice, clean, and safe right on main street.

I'll probably just drive down early Friday morning and go home friday night. It's not THAT far.

Unfortunately I also won't be Astrosexy either, at least not on the ham bands, since i'm not a ham. Maybe I should focus on obtaining a ham license while i'm there.

Good news for those who are close and want to test often :baby:

I guess I better study the general this weekend at work, might test on Monday. If all goes well, then I can study the extra for a few days and be extra-CSCE sexy by the weekend :mjban:

Or completely blank out and be tech-sexy until 2017 when I renew again :baby:

If I completely feck out next week, the next weekend will have another testing session in Gastonia NC, so I'll try there.

I would have tested in my town last weekend but I got distracted by the G/F friday night and..............well lets just say I forgot all about :ham: radio :mjban:

So... any official Shelby non-ham frequencies? I should be programming into my radio? I will have access to VHF and UHF. MDC ID C702 on both.
