N Illinois RadioExpo : Sept 29&30

Who's going? My plan is to camp there friday and get a table & try to sell some shit.

I'm still salty about the venue change. My trip is about doubled.

Chicago FM Club flyer

I'll have the BatChanHam&SansHamPlan programmed for U and V, I guess.

It'll be interesting to see what difference the location makes. But, with the cost of venues in the shitcago area, it's probably one of the only ways the fest would survive. This was always one of my favorite hamfests in terms of the abundance of cool stuff there. Won't be able to make this one though.

Was that the reason for the change? Sucky.

Yea, I always had a good time getting there early on Friday and camping. I know the date is gonna sneak up on me so I'd better get my ass in gear and figure out what to sell and keep.

I think the Lake County fairgrounds were sold or are in the process of being sold.

Ya, I had a really fun time, too.
I stayed close to my table almost the entire time and, unusually, managed to not buy a thing. I did sell a couple items so it's all good.

Nice to see the gang and to make N9AVY's acquaintance.

I spoke to both of them for a while. They're OK, tho' dad rambled on a while. I guess it wouldn't be a hamfest without confus[ed/ing] long-winded old men.

Well, I guess since he was a bigger dude mebey 3 would be helpful depending on what kinda situation you're in and where you can reach around your waist

but still...
Arresting fat hams means using 3 pairs to bridge the gap between the wrists when behind their back.
