Who's got one, and is it worth buying to replace a VX-150?

Had one for about 2 weeks now. Clear audio, good reports, no problems at all. Haven't even had to charge the battery yet; it has a battery save feature that's awesome!

personally, having just bought a vx-150... (which I love), if I was to upgrade I'd go to the ft-60. All the benefits of the 150 (basically same chassis and belt clip) but also a dualbander.

Spend the extra few bucks, you'll be happier.

1000 memory channels?

Like I've ever used more than 30.

The 1000 channels on the 170 is an error... I think it's somewhere in the 200's.

But yes, I tell you: spend the extra 20 bucks at HRO and get the 170 over the 150.

Bigger cap battery, NiMH instead of NiCd, too.

Nicer heft and rock-solid. Big, bright screen.

I'll recommend this radio to anyone looking for a good 2m HT.

At $139, it's a no-brainer.
