I should be there.
Homophobe....... I'd hit it like a fucking screen door in a Goddamn tornado. When you get all old and sickly my round arsed friend, you will learn to take advantage of situations as they arise or do without. Does that make me a fag? Dunno.....don't care........but it means I am not going to do without....... -- FatherJack - 3/29/2012

A bunch from my club are going but, alas, I won't be one of them.

Next fest I hit will probably be Milton.

My wife and I MAY go on Friday... I have to work on Saturday and Sunday so it's not likely that I will go on the weekend.

I may try to take off from work early and make the 15 minute drive.

Jaymz - if you make it up and you want to do dinner, give me a shout.

Well, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. No electrical tape signs or anything. I didn't see anything worthy of pictures, either - a little disappointing in that regard, I guess. It was fun watching my 9-year-old shut down a couple of the OF's who thought they were being cute, "Well, little guy, are you going to be a ham just like your daddy when you grow up?" "No, I already have my license."

I got a new battery for the MT1000 and a Larsen NMO mount for $10 each. My son didn't get the HT he was hoping for, but he did get some clip leads and a key switch. I should have grabbed one of the NIB Bird meters.

It was nice to see ARRL President Joel Harrison was out and around talking to people, not just sitting in his booth all day. Maybe it's because he looks just like my former next-door neighbor and that's how I expect him to sound, but the Southern accent was a little disconcerting.

Oh well.

Sorry I missed it. My wife and I were planning on coming up but we had a surge in the neighborhood that took out our meter and fuse panel. I spent 70% of my weekend re-wiring. And I am not even done yet.

I didn't see any bargains or any worthy photo ops. I thought there was fewer dealers selling crappy shit like sunglasses, umbrellas and VHS tapes.

I felt bad to see the OFs stumble around on the golf ball sized gravel in the flea market area. I did see one fat bastard go down while crossing the construction area beside the dome but he was on his feet before I could get the lens cap off. :baby:

I was major disappointed to note the absence of the beer truck. WTF?

There was beer somewhere. At 10:45 AM, the guy next to me had a half-empty cup of beer. I assume he bought it somewhere on the grounds.

Next year, bring your own. :baby:
