I drink iced tea with sugar. Most people sweeten too much for my taste though. I like hot tea with both sugar and milk though.

Years ago my family drove from Windsor, Ontario to Disneyworld. The first night on the road we stopped in Chattanooga. The next morning at breakfast my mom had a heck of a time getting a cup of HOT tea.

The waitress couldn't quite figure it out.

QFT.

Although if its a nice tea like Earl Grey then its milk no sugar. I tried it hot with lemon juice once but it tasted funky.

;)

to quote me:
"Did I **** get my radio yet"

:(

This country stinks... I know it's a little thing, but how the hell do you lose a frigging radio.

It was due to be delivered yesterday... nothing turned up. Spoke to some whore in the parcel office who claimed the truck had broken down... called them up again today, said "Oh the parcel isn't here, it must have gone out today..."

me: "But it was due for delivery yesterday.."
Them: "Well it has gone out today sir, you should get it..."
me: "Yeah right *SLAM*"
me: I hope that hurt your ear you Mancunian twat.

:baby:

I guess having a company filled with thieves and then marking the value of the item on the outside wasn't a good idea, huh?

I'm keeping an open mind, but I seriously doubt I'm ever going to see it. By the way - I have my programming cable... !!! Yay.

WOOT!!!

:baby: :baby: :baby: :baby: :baby:

My baby's arrived, yay.

Just realised I'll need a voltage adaptor for the charger, but meh, that's a small thing.

Ok, I'm totally clueless and I don't know how to operate the radio at all... lol.

*googles for a manual*.

BTW, flashcode on the radio's sticker says 080004-000000-8

How do I read the flash from the radio itself? I know it involves pressing buttons.

Press the 2-dot side button 5 times after turning it on. If it's got a 1 Meg VOCON, it'll flash the HOST, DSP, serial #, "1 MEG", and the Flashcode at you. If it's only 512K, you'll only get the HOST, DSP, and serial number.

FYI, all the buttons, switches, and menu items are configurable via RSS.

Thanks Josh.

I ran through that, and it's as the seller described it, so I'm happy.

It only has one channel that will xmit on anything, the others just "bloop" at me... :) The one that xmits is 416.425 with PL of 167.9. It's labelled as OTAR on the radio... :anus:

;) I got the pun.

Thank you kindly sir, and sirs, for all your collective help!

Without wanting to launch into anything gay (I think escomm is convinced I'm a fag), you guys rock.

:xls:

Can't wait to get it programmed up now and be IMBE sexy...... ironically the radio and the programming lead arrived on the same day.

I saved all the codeplugs from all the surplus stuff I got. When I got a radio loaded with trunking stuff I'd run the system ID through Radioreference and 9 times out of 10 it'd come back to an inactive system. So I'd venture a guess that the rest of it isn't of much interest anymore.

According to the flash on the label, you have a non IMBE radio with

Q498 Hardware Multikey Encryption w/OTAR
H37 SMARTNET Syatems Operation

What is the flash code from the radio??

I think Dave typed the flashcode badly, he had sent me the flash code (beginning with 1 some weeks ago when it was first winging its away aross the pond).

Nope, flash on the sticker is as I typed it... radio must have had the flash updated at some point or been re-cased?

Flashcode from the service menu is IMBE.

Huh? Since when did a RIB care about "Saber range".

Or am I missing something here...
