MURS of some sort?
Batlabs Green, bizzitches! 151.88, DPL 143 (I think, might be 043, and I can't find the list atm..)
What say we all meet up somewhere at the hamfest at a specific time?
Hamsexy is like peeing your pants.
Everyone can see it but only you feel its true warmth.
But then you get old and pee in your pants while wizzing around in you hamabout.

I'll be arriving Friday night and I plan to spend the better part of Saturday at the hamfest. I will have 462.550 DPL 143 and possibly 151.880 DPL 143 on me with MDC ID C702.
This is what I looked like last year.
I still look pretty much the same and will still be carrying a camera.
Now you won't have any problem finding me.
I'll be dressed nearly the same too except this year it will be combat boots.

For taking the time to meet up with the "Cary Brigade"! It's good to attach some faces to everyone only known from posts.
Nothing else great to report from the fest but a few trinkets that will help fix up a couple of repeaters, and protect another one.
We came back and stopped at the office to try out the new station control module for our Quantar that had arrived late Friday afternoon. It worked well and we're currently operational on our P25 ham repeater at our test location. After a little time burning in and being fine tuned it will be off to it's new home at a much better location.
I'll post the details and frequency after the political requirements are completed. While it's undergoing testing it is replacing one of our normal "local" UHF boxes- if anyone is headed for the Raleigh area drop me a line and I'll fill in the blanks for the temporary operation.
1 Water-damaged VHF HT1250 for $30
1 Brand New HT1250 Full Keypad case w/display for $10
1 Huge STX
1 Box of Pager parts for $10
1 HT1250 Leather case for $5
1 Technician License for $10
Not bad for $65 I guess. There was a ton of just crap at Shelby, I was kind of disappointed. It was nice to meet you guys though.
Well, today sucked... looked like maybe half the sellers (moreso out in the field) had packed up and left.
Still, I got to fondle the toys at the Icom and Yaesu booths (barely, Icom was packing up just as I left that building) and I found a couple more batteries for my Standard HX381 radios. Also enjoyed browsing the camera stuff the guy from NJ brings...
On the bright side, dad and I were able to park right near the gate, and there wasn't much of a crowd to fight back from the tables with the stuff you want to look at...
