As above really.
I have an EFJ 5100 handheld with P25 and crypto up to AES256 IIRC. It's not FPP though. I believe I paid around $700 for it at Dayton in 2008 from a HS member.
It's now surplus to requirements unfortunately. It comes with a few (3 or 4) batteries, and a VHF antenna. I could throw in a VHF penetrator if I felt generous. Also have the EFJ speaker mic and a Motorola one too, oh and the charger.
This isn't a for sale advert, this is a "how much should I ask for it?"
The proceeds will go towards a car (hopefully an Impala :p) - see my thread in General Bullshite.

If it's a model 3, really nice condition, and a newer (50100ES) model I could easily see it go for $450-$500 with all the accessories included.
Like 2 years ago I bought a 5100 Model 2 UHF-Low in 8/10 cond with a new /\/\ batt for $300 at a local hamfest if that's any help...

It's the full keypad / model 3. Can't remember the exact model but its not the latest.
I dont have any way of reading the radio right now but i can throw in the programming lead and software is probably available from EFJ :)

It would say 5100ES on the front label, the older ones just say 5100. The cable is a standard XTS3000 cable and the software is available through EFJ dealers.

Awesome. Well there you go its a standard 5100 with crypto. I guess I'l just shove it on the for sale section and see how it flies. Really don't use it any more which is a shame since I'm here in the land of the P25 repeater, but a car is more important than radios .... .... ...icomking wrote:It would say 5100ES on the front label, the older ones just say 5100. First time I'll ever say that and hopefully the last.

BTW, when your post it, be sure to post the radio's Code Version. The display should read something like "V 4.8.10" during start-up. The reason for this is unlike Motorola CPS, the EFJohnson programming software (called PC Configure) is not backward-compatible, meaning that if you have the software meant for radio code version 5.0 it will not work with a radio with code 4.8.10...
