Didn't know SA had a hamfest. Got a name or link to a website?

I have never heard of that hamfest in any of the Houston circles. Either it's new, too small to register on anyone's radar, or both.

He was at one point (or claimed to be, anyway.) I've never run into him at any of the other big Texas hamfest events, nor has anyone else in "the family" as far as I know.

VX and I met MaxTracker from RadioReference once. That was an amusing experience.

I'm trying to rebuild a station after the fires so I'll make the trip. I just hope it is not one of those start at 6am and over by 7:30 types.

The room was on the smallish side and the isles were barely wide enough for two people to pass each other. It was crowded, not a place for those who dislike crowds. The tables were sold out. The usual mix of trash and treasure. No dealers of new equipment. Two hardy souls were set up int the tailgate area. The cheerleaders were running the concessions stand as a fund raiser. They did good.

Picked up a couple Kenwood antiques. A TR-50 (Anybody have a 1.2 GHz antenna with a BNC laying around?) and a TH-21AT that looks NIB. The XYL now has her own HF, an Alinco DX-77.

It was an ok show.
