IRLP Sound Cards

Post by wb4bsd »

Those of you with an IRLP node that are using a maxtrac or gm300, i would like to know which sound card you are using with it.

I am having a horirble time getting my card to work. I have an older card, its a creative CT4810. I finally got very weak audio to come out of my HT, but i had to turn it up so loud to even hear it.

I adjusted it with aumix and everything.

What if you just plug a pair of computer speakers in, do you get any decent sound then? We need to find out if it is the souncard or the radio or connection between.

i heard audio with my headphones, so audio is getting out of the sound card.

now here is a strange thing, with all the cables hooked up like they are suppose to be, i cannot tx audio directly from my gm300. all i get when i key the mic is a carrier. if i unhook the cables, i can talk like normal, but hook them back up and all you can hear is the cleanest carrier you've ever heard..

my luck sux a$$

Are you sure everything is connected properly? Your audio connection must be messed up since your not getting radio in or out from the node. Are you using properly shielded audio cables and followed the install docs according to your IRLP board?
