Dupage EXPO
4050 E. Main Street, St Charles, IL 60174
(Across the street from the Pheasant Run MegaCenter)
8 am to 1 pm.
I have been to this one in the past and it was OK. Mostly beacuse this is the first one around here for the year and everyone has cabin fever and wants to get out for a little hamfesting.
Last year, I ran into a lot of folks that I knew, so that was fun.
Also, there were many fine examples of Hamsexy vehicles in the parking lot, so bring your camera.
I am going to wear my SKYPORN shirt and see if I get kicked out.

I did. It was OK. The usual vendors that sell antennas and small parts. The guys that sell led flashlights and that sort of thing.
There was a pretty good turnout. Parking was tight though. They were plowing spaces as I puled in, and I was not early.
Not a lot of rigs for sale, maybe only one overpriced HF radio.
I went there mostly to socialize with the hammies, and to look for whacker vehicles in the parking lot, ha ha
Some people said it was terrible, due to lack of good stuff for sale. As I was not looking for anything in particular, that did not bother me.
I did not mind paying the "cover charge" just to go and meet folks that I have talked to on the air locally. Plus, sometimes you get to hear some "dirt" that is not talked about on the air. woo-hoo
I showed off the SKYPORN shirt and many people thought it was funny. A few expressed interest in where they could get one.

Sorry for the shameless plug.
All in all, I had a good time. Went to lunch afterwards with KC9ANQ (of smootching Amy at Dayton fame) and K9CDL, a real good guy that lives near me and has a tower that I would kill to have (I live in a townhouse)
