Dallas Hamfest 2011 - September 3rd & 4th

Who's in? I know I have made plans to attend on the 3rd...

I need an 800mhz XTS5000 model II or III codeplug. I'm not trying to hack any radios, I just want to experiment in CPS to see if I can do what I want to with a 5k as opposed to a 3k.

I'll be arriving Friday night and I plan to spend the better part of Saturday at the hamfest. I will have 462.550 DPL 143 and possibly 151.880 DPL 143 on me with MDC ID C702.

BTW.. The PDF for the event won't load for me.

This is a Friday-Saturday-Sunday event right? What time does it open on Friday?

MURS or GMRS or whatever is fine for me. I'll have my VHF Systems Saber III and UHF HT1550 with me. Just let me know what channels we decide on.

So what MDC ID's shall I put in my call lists so I can irritate the shit out of you guys as soon as I arrive on scene?

So... any official Shelby non-ham frequencies? I should be programming into my radio? I will have access to VHF and UHF. MDC ID C702 on both.

Unfortunately I also won't be Astrosexy either, at least not on the ham bands, since i'm not a ham. Maybe I should focus on obtaining a ham license while i'm there.

Well I officially declare my WV trip rained out. Probably for the better since I would just end up at the Hooters in Charleston with the sub-par women.

I've had one of these for a couple days... AWESOME little radio. I have around 240 channels in it, (No :ham: ), and it has a good-sized 250-channel capacity. It's very small but it's built well, I don't feel like i'll break it if I squeeze it hard. I can hit our county repeater as well as I could ...
