Has anyone else experimented with the DVDongle?

It is a USB device that allows one to connect to the D-Star Gateways over the internet via their home PC (or Mac)

I ordered one from HRO and finally got it running on a PPC G5 Mac.

The software seems more inclined to the Windows user or the Intel ...

I was there and rode up with some guys from out near me.

I really missed a great opportunity.

I had brought a bunch of small SKYPORN stickers with me and had planned to "Tag" some whackermobiles and take pictures to post.

I wasn't sure how my riders would feel about that sort of vandalisim, so I ...

I did. It was OK. The usual vendors that sell antennas and small parts. The guys that sell led flashlights and that sort of thing.

There was a pretty good turnout. Parking was tight though. They were plowing spaces as I puled in, and I was not early.

Not a lot of rigs for sale, maybe only one ...

There us usually Moto stuff at most of the fests, but not knowing anything about the Motorola line, I couldn't tell you if any of it is any good.

If the rest of the offerings are an indication, then I would expect mostly junk, with a couple of good pieces that get snatched up early.

Lenny, you get the porno video concession, but no gay stuff !

I think the gay stuff does sell, maybe not alot.

There are gays in every other walk of life, so why not ham radio?

I think they like to "lie low" and not advertise their preferences.

I have been to this one in the past and it was OK. Mostly beacuse this is the first one around here for the year and everyone has cabin fever and wants to get out ...

If you are not ashamed to do so, wander over to the porn section and write down the names of some of the more humorous titles of the movies.

Especially, if you can relate it to ham radio, in some vague way.

Post them when you get back.

I heard some guys talking about the Marshal fest. Since I couldn't figure where Marshal was, I decided it was too far to drive.
