Re: ASTRO Ham Band Repeaters (NATIONWIDE LIST)
If you're up in the Barrie/Collingwood area then you'll have coverage on VA3IMB on 147.2850Mhz (156.7hz/NAC 293) but that's generally from Newmarket and above with a mobile. With the number of guys in the Toronto area with P25 gear, I'm surprised nobody has bothered yet. There is a P25 UHF repeater...

Heres how I see it with encryption... In Ontario, there is only a handful of people who have an Astro digital capable radio, who are amateurs, most if not all of them already have encryption modules in their radios, and finally most of them also know someone with a key loader. I have no problem talk...

Me too, partly... but the major plus for me is I can see if one of my buddies is on frequency without having to have the radio volume up high, I can have my music in the car going and not miss a beat, hah! Thats what I love about SoftIDs with the astros, I can have the volume down low, or be scanni...

You guys use Miles out in your neck of the woods :P 2. that has the be one of the best inter agency comms I've heard, not only the voice quality (assume on the same system?), but professionalism, and how easy they talked to each other, up here EMS, Police, and Fire are their own little groups and...

Honestly, I think if it came down to it, I'd give up and not listen at all as opposed to trying to use a scanner, the ruggedness isn't the main thing for me, its the absolute SHITTY audio I detest... Astro Spectra W9 VHF & 800MHz CPG
I'm currently looking for a code plug for a W9 VHF high split radio and a W9 800MHz radio. I would prefer a whore flash at the current time if someone has it.
If you have one and are nice enough to let me have a copy, It would be greatly appreciated.

Digital, but after using it for over a year, I've come to love it, and cringe when ever I have to use analog, sure the occasional analog conversation here and there happens on some ham repeaters, but nowadays I try and stay on the...
