Huntsville (AL) Hamfest this weekend at the Von Braun center in downtown Huntsville.

The ARRL Southeastern Convention as well as the Young Ladies Radio League convention will be held at the same time at the event.

Talk-in will be on the 146.94 repeater. Back up is the 147.30 repeater. No PL ...

I went, picked up a Kenwood D700 for truck (whew...$$$$$), sat in on an international emergency communications seminar for a few minutes and walked around a bit.

Less junk than the last Hamfest I went to, which was in '03.

I meant to bring the camera, but forgot it, of course. . .

Anybody going to this one? It's a 'moderately' sized 'fest and can be hamsexified in a few spots. Last time I went (2003), it wasn't too shabby. . . not alot of junk, homemade candles or used porn about. . .
