One more note, I wish they had a Mic connector on the control head,like the 706. I made a home brew cable and still run it mobile with no problems.

Icom customer support and turn around time is excellent, Sent my 706 in for blown finals cost me $75.00 was back in 2 weeks from the factory.

Ten-Tec has outstanding customer support also.I needed a dial string for my old analog transceiver last year,and the sent me one free of charge.

Other then the Modified Scooter Slob,it went really good.
Talked with a pal on 80 meter last night and last count was over 850 tickets sold!! One of the biggest yet.

Saw allot of overpriced junk(typical as you well know) Nose plugs could have helped,but it did smell like old musty radio ...
