Re: IRLP - The Fedora Legacy Project is shutting down, by WY

I think you may be confusing two different things. The Fedora Legacy project was the project for Fedora before Redhat became in...

While it's no cause for panic, taking some time to upgrade to CentOS for those that have the hardware that can handle it, probab...

Wow, I have been out of it for a while... I did not realize VE7LTD dumped Fedora in favor of CentOS. I wonder what the reason behind that is. Not quiet sure the reason, but i am sure its a good one. I am not a linux guru so i trust that Dave wouldn't switch over to something that wasn't good. I jus...

Shuttle Audio
For those of you that don't know already, you can listen to shuttle audio on IRLP reflector #9356.
There is talk of adding another reflector to balance the load during peak times.
Its pretty interesting.
Enjoy!

Fan noise
I'm using a gm300 with a computer fan on the back of it. Everytime the radio keys up, the fan slows down due to the current draw and you can hear the fan noise over the radio. Is there a simple solution to filter this noise out? such as using some ferrite beads or something??

Are you sure everything is connected properly? Your audio connection must be messed up since your not getting radio in or out from the node. Are you using properly shielded audio cables and followed the install docs according to your IRLP board? http://www.irlp.net/new-install/ Its all working fine...
