TRBO Scan mode PL problem
Ok. Probably I'm missing something obvious here, but when in scan mode, my DP3400 (the non display model handheld) ignores my PL on certain channels and works in CSQ mode instead.
Annoying.
I've had a look in scan, general settings and also on the channel page (I still want to call it conventional personality!). But no joy.
Any clues?

Re: TRBO Scan mode PL problem
Eh, I found it. It's under the scan options IIRC. Although since posting the original thread, I found out it's quite useful to have no PL when scanning when in a different area - the freqs are still valid, and it lets you hear traffic you would otherwise need to program a channel for.
I gotta say, TRBO CPS is a lot sexier than Astro CPS, and a lot more user friendly. Still - three actions to enable scan. I suppose it's logical though - you have to choose which channels you want in the scan. Personally I'd prefer it done differently, but... w/e.
I do like the new 'customer handout' page you can print.
:D
Happy Kwanzaa for tomorrow

TRBO CPS does not let you recycle channel names, which is pretty gay IMHO.
I'd hit it so hard you'd have to be to King of England to pull me out

Yeah I just found that out.
I set Ch1 to 433.700 and Ch16 to 433.700, but had to name them 1 + 2.
Ho hum.
Still, can't complain. :D Nice radios.

you are suggesting the laws of physics have been broken with this postRayRay wrote:Lighter than a 750/1250.... TRBO analog audio sounds much better than the shit audio a Waris portable has tho. The TRBO radios also have a queer little "nextel-like" beedeep/beedoop when you or someone else keys up.

I was talking about build quality rather than audio quality :)
I use my DP3400 in analogue mode
