Re: The first Yaerola?
Saw these at IWCE earlier in the year. I actually like the vertex version better. They run the same exact software as the Mototrbo's. The main feature they lack is support for IP Site Connect and trunking I believe. (Though, I don't know how they limit the IP Site connect part since it's not subscri...

Re: A little help for an astro n00b
The Host 9/Dsp 12 in an XTS2500 indicates it is a 4MB "A" revision XTS2500. There are a few limits mainly lack of support for hardware encryption, total channel count probably will not go above the 512 mark (I believe this was only extended to 850-870 channels in R10 8mb models). The batte...

Hey guys - If you have suggestions on how to change, re-word, or otherwise fix something on http://www.batlabs.com - Here's what I've told people on the batboard - same goes for any of you. Take the whole HTML page, not just the section that needs updating. Correct what problems there are - and emai...

Remember, you can always get the DSP refreshed. And since it's an Astro25 Host/DSP radio, that means you can have it bumped up to Host/DSP 10.x (current). Again Ray - YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. Astro Spectra Plus != 8MB Flash Memory You can NOT PUT 10.XX.XX in to a radio WHICH DOES...

Hamsexy folks? Richard was supposed to show up, but he slept through his alarm clock. Bastard. Other than that, I saw a lot of people that I bump in to at Dayton or at other hamfests and such, but no one else that I recognized as being on the site, but then again, I don't know everyone. I was still ...

Anyone going? I have to dig around and see if it's still at the Albany street lot. It's been a long time.
I *may* be up in that neck of the woods, but am really not sure yet.

We were gone by 11ish. Not a lot to see... I saw the EX600 you were speaking of, R split I believe. If it were an S-Split, I may have given it more consideration. He had an HT1000 as well, but wanted too much for it. It wasn't a bad hamfest in retrospect, more M gear that I actually expected. I may ...

I'd still like to play with one of the Asia/PAC CDM mobiles that has the 6-8 line display. I think the asia ones support MDC inhibit from the keypad too!mr.syntrx wrote:If you check out Icom Japan's PMR site, you can see some fairly funky gear, even though it's all in Japanese.

Ummmm...That's great, but is the rest of the system D-Star or just the one receiver? If he doesn't have a D-star tranmitter as well, then what is the use. If on the other hand it is the entire repeater tied into the rest of his repeaters, then I see... Exactly my point I was trying to make. Thanks ...
