Saturday April 14th
Expo center in Belton, Texas

Good little hamfest. I've picked up lots of good deals in the past. It's been a couple years since my last appearance, but I should be there next month.
Anyone else going?

Well, that was fun. We drove through hell to get there, froze our balls off that morning, and there was no good gear to be had. At least there wasn't much of a wacker quotient, just the usual OF mob turnout.
Thanks for the ducks, VX. They will be getting put to good use.

And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside.

Yah, what a waste. Row after row of scrap metal and rusty old junk. I even saw a burned-up $5 RadioShack soldering iron on someone's table, with a pricetag of $1. I sold a total of $16 of my stuff and didn't make one single purchase. First time ever I didn't buy anything at Belton.
Hope we have better luck at Hamcom.
But, it was good to see some friendly faces, like your ugly mug, and Microwave Mike, and Jeff Walsh (John Wayne from the Batboard). Even got to meet Phrawg, who's a really nice guy.

Oh my. Someone actually brought a vidcam to the Belton Hamfest.

You'll see the fine selection of JUNK I was ranting about.
