It was good. Saw some blind people walking around the tables. Must be tough for them to shop.Some of those guys need to leave their spastic family members at home. One of the blind people there was Bob WD8PIC, a hell of a nice guy and a lot of fun to talk to on the radio. I actually got to meet him...

Ahhh. Didn't see that on the original link. All I saw was the antennas Arrow is known for making, in fact I'm thinking of geting one of those antennas myself for my VX-6R.

Thet would probably work, not sure how well though.

If you want to make a case out of it, do some mobile simplex comparisons between VHF, UHF, and 800. Even when P25 isn't a factor, 800 simplex range over pretty much anything except desert sucks balls. I agree. Hell they are having problems with the county FD comms as it is, and they are VHF simplex...
