I'll be there Saturday this year, going to take off the 3p-11p part of my shift so I can stay all day and have fun. Sunday has less people and several venders left Saturday as well, but there are not too many two-day hamfests in this area so I guess we're lucky to have the chance to go on a Sunday.

Anyone of you SC guys planning on attending? I could scout out a suitable place food afterwards

I'll be there Saturday, but will be heading out no later than 2pm since I'll be needed at work at 3pm, but that gives me plenty of time to go broke.


If only C&E would schedule a show there on the same weekend, that'd be sure to bring more people to both shows.

I just found out a buddy of mine from OH will be visiting his brother in Charlotte, they are both hams and will be attending the Charlotte Hamfest this Saturday. I really can't afford the cost of fuel there and back alone, but will be glad to drive. I'm not sure if Dorey will go or not as she seems to have outgrown hanging out with Dad for hamfests, so, if about three of you would like to ride with and chip in $20 each for fuel, that would be great........ please let me know!

I am asking a bazillion of you in hopes of finding three who will split the cost, naturally though, if others volunteer to drive and multitudes will plan to attend, that would be even better!

Dude, I hope not..... Brad may be busy too and i can't get ahold of Jason...... I'm not a cheap skate, if the hamfest was what it was 10 years ago, it would be different (some commercial gear, a few hammie dealers), but, to burn up like $50 or $60 worth of fuel to look at a dozen tables of Beanie Babies, ear rings & bracelets. a 20 year old Azden 2m rig and a Workman 2m/440 antenna..... I will likely pass unless I have a few home slices to ride up with to split the cost, have someone to talk to and eat with. Hell, I can stay at home, have a good meal and get piss in my pants drunk at Corbitt's for less than $60.

Well guys, which of the SC hamfests this spring is the best to go to? I've got quite a bit of vacation time built up and could burn up a little to make the day & night long stay in SC worth while for a night of wacky adventures.


Plus being able to see Uncle Tom get "piss in my pants drunk" sounds like fun

I will post by tomorrow evening if I will make it or not. If so, I'll be on 147.420 and/or maybe 440 if I have a simplex freq programmed in there (need to double check, and I know you astro boys are 440 sexy)....

It would be funny, CGC would suffocate and if Mong, WTF and I ate a po full of pintos with onions and a pone of cornbread before we tried it, CGC would never survive.......

It's just a daydream anyway, even if we could get in:
a) the vehicle couldn't move
b) we could never get back out without the jaws of life
c) even if it could move, something tells me 40mpg would be an impossibility.

Gee, only 578? My g/f had a cow orker that went to the hospital with vision problems, and when they finally saw him 6 hours later, his BG was DOWN TO around 525. You do the math on that one.
