I'm contemplating coming down...Gotta drum up vendors for Gaithersburg Hamfest the next weekend.....Don't want any of them going to somewhere like Finley, now do we :baby:

ONLY HANDICAPPED DRIVERS WITH VISIBLE IDENTIFICATION WILL BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE GOLF CARTS ON THE FAIRGROUNDS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM ON SATURDAY (Except for required SARC carts). NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES (INCLUDING SCOOTERS) WILL BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE WITHIN THE FAIRGROUNDS (except authorized Golf Carts) BETWEEN 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM ON SATURDAY."

And even though I called out to him, he was moving away at a pretty good clip and never heard or ignored me - I nervously scanned the road ahead for an OF giving chase in a hamabout but they were all doing the bumper car shuffle.

kind of a bust this year - tons o' junk. What's with everyone selling referbed laptops ? A thinkpad 600E for $250 ??? Please!

There was a guy selling (in the box) Model II VHF Sabers for $150 with batt, antenna, and belt clip, no charger.- had quite a few of them.

There was a guy in the flea mkt area selling a JT 1000 VHF with impress charger for $550

All the while I'm looking for a UHF mod3 saber or systems saber, but saw none.

Even the best BBQ joints on the strip were closed

kind of a disappointing day.

It was a lovely meet and I will post my pics as soon as I can.
Lots of work to go through but I think it will all fall together within the next few days.
